Dear Reader
We have all seen and heard about fake watches, handbags, clothing, Cds and DVD's but in the UK there has been a sharp increase in the amount of counterfeit cars on the highways of this great Nation.
Cars are normally the second most single expensive purchase you are likely to make after buying a home. At the end of 2011 there was 34.2 million vehicles licensed for use on the roads of Great Britain, of which 28.5 million were cars.
It is believed that a small percentage of these are in fact FAKE! 'Fake' I hear you say, yes fake under a recent Freedom of Information request to DVLA (Drivers Vehicles Licensing Association) revealed the scale of this crime sweeping the UK. The information stated that whilst they did not know the exact numbers, it could estimated to be between 0.1-10% of the cars using the British roads.

This equates this a very large number of cars! Remember if it seems too much of a bargain it probably is.

How does it work? Well cheaper, sometimes stolen 'dona' cars are used to masquerade as a more expensive, luxury vehicles.

In the 1980's this crime came to the US of A with cars being shipped from China. By the end of the 80's in 1990 it is believed that approximately 23.786598874736626609983827631710%  of all Cadillac's were actually Nissan Sunnys.
At the time, young, highly skilled children sometimes as young as 3 years old were made to work long hours in sweat shops to produce these fake cars for mafia groups. This is where the word Cartel comes from CAR-you-cant-TELl-its-a-fake.

This crime is now funding drugs and other really bad things in Europe. Many of these cars are being assembled in a Baltic Country in a formal USSR member state on the outskirts of a town called Dodgycaroff.

How do this cars find there way onto our streets? Many come here on things called car ferries.
please note these people are not Nazis but the map shows how the gangs snake through mainland Europe

We started our business 2 years ago when a friend was tricked into buying a fake, he came round to show me his new BMW M3 after a quick inspection I discovered it was a Peugeot 406 diesel. He had been complaining that acceleration was not exactly as he expected.

   Clearly a FAKE (later crushed)

Sometimes it is a lot harder to tell. Mr Dumbass came to see us about his Maserati as he had concerns over its authenticity. It proved to be one of the hardest cases we have had the pleasure of solving albeit taking us some six months crack. The car in question was a Maserati Grantruismo 4.2ltr 2008 with a used value of around £46000 he thought he was getting a bargain at £32000.

REAL
Mr Dumbass's car FAKE

Believe it or not Mr Dumbass's car turned out to be originally a Ford Fiesta 1.6tdi, this case was made particularly hard due to the fact that both cars were the same colour (which is especially hard for women to spot the difference)  He would like to thank our highly trained staff for making the discovery.

Some of the most popular models and their donas
    • BMW X5                                  Nissan Patrol
    • Bentley Continental  Cab       Smartcar Roadster
    • Ferrari 458                              Mercedes C180
    • Toyota Aygo                            Peugeot 107/Citroen C1

How much are our fees? For a very reasonable, absolute steal we will charge a one off fee of £180+vat (daily rate). Sometimes it may take longer such as the case of the Maserati. The Maserati case cost £32850+vat
